To all of you who have an obvious appreciation of this record, !!! I grew up `round the corner from Morrissey! Not sure if theres any bearing! Other than his left of centre sense of music, interest! But i would bet a pound to a penny, that he liked this one!! I loved it and eventually became reunited with it via King- Bee records!

Hi Chris, when I was at school me, my friend Anne-Marie, and I believe John Peel on TOTP, all loved this. It is very well executed. Does the song mean anything in particular?

  18. MADROCKS212

    great original song.

  19. gahctep

The way the synth cuts in
    the middle still sends shivers
    down my spine Awsome
    song

  20. mangeire

I haven’t heard this song on the radio since 1982. All these ’80s revival radio shows play the same old crap while missing out on forgotten classics like this, they should do some research!

  21. elbotait

Proves the eighties were the best!!

  22. EssexBoy696969

I believe the band hailed from Eastbourne…..commonly known as ‘God’s waiting room” on the South Coast of England (the average age of the population is around 97yo, and all wear elasticated beige clour clothing)!

The Mobiles also had a minor hit after this with a song called “Patrners in Fiction” – I had both on 7 inch singles at one stage but I can’t find this last hit anywhere to download!

    LONG LIVE EARLY 80′s MUSIC!

  23. mds810

    Early 1982, thankyou for posting.

  24. cue1cole

didnt they take their name from the school mobiles they had lessons in an also wrote music? nevertheless a gr8 song that takes me back to an era where music was at a peak.. late 70s early 80s . think this was 83..
